Cronulla Sharks karaoke champ Greg Bird has got himself a HOFA nomination
with a tried a tested method.
Bird met young local scorcher Lara" where the bloody hell are ya" Bingle at the great man, Steve Rogers funeral. He then "somehow" obtained her mobile phone number and sent her a "test the waters" text.
Unfortunatley for the birdman the waters were very frosty. So allegedly he responded to her message with a couple of filthy retorts.
Lying in the wings is Bird's chick who stuck her beak into things to ruffle a few feathers.
A little birdy told me Lara and Bird's girl met at a hens night and became quite chirpy.
That all seems to have flown south for the winter now with the feathers really flying since the reports became public.

So in the great tradition of other Aussie text message heros, Shane Warne and Mark Gasnier ..we give you Greg Bird.
